Exhaust question

Exhaust question

For those of you with a stock exhaust on a 5.5 gen, Should both if the exhaust tips on the muffler be exhausting gas? On mine one side has pressure although it's weak and the other side has nothing.

It's designed that way. Nissan's way to provide low end torque at low RPM's...

Valve inside muffler opens when WOT pressure pushes it open, then both tips expel.

I came across a thread a while back where someone cut the variable capacity muffler open and made a diagram of the exhaust flow at low and high rpm's. Really cool design IMO
