Ignition Coil Replacement for the 2nd time!!!

I'm having to replace mult. (possibly all) ignition coils for the 2nd time and just wondered if anyone has used parts from Auto Zone, O;Reilly, etc... and wondered how they worked as I can get them much cheaper than the factory parts from the dealer. Yes, I have heard many times when I take my car in to get looked at that I should always use factory parts, but I truest maxima.org's opinions more sometimes. Thank you all in advance for your time and help! Any other suggestions/tips/hints regarding ignition coil replacement would be greatly appreciated too!

Well I haven't tried autozone or o reileys but did get some off ebay and they said OEM same Hashin brand and all but two failed so sent all back...but 1stNissanparts.com is probably the best price you will find on OEM...but of your go autozone or oreiley let us know how those work out for you....

Courtesy Nissan or Dave B !!!!!No other options, Autozone, Advanced, Orielly's all are the wrong place to go! You'll have better luck using NAPA.....IMO, if you didn't wanna deal with Good Ole Nissan OEM parts!

I have 2 coils from autozone on my car that I put on back in 2008 and no problems with them.

If you want nissan parts, check out - http://www.nissanpartszone.com/

I have 3 coils from Autozone and 3 from Amazon.com, also since 2008. They're still going strong.

Finally I had replaced those with OEM purchased from a dealer via this website and so far no problems at all. I have heard (as mentioned in this post) that some aftermarkets do work well. It's a hit and miss I suppose.
Just out of curiosity, I'd like to know where did you purchase those aftermarket coils.

beware of those electrical parts at autozone, etc. I remember when I was in college and I had a Honda Accord with 190k miles on it and alternator died......ORIGINAL alternator.....then went cheap because I was a broke college student and bought one from Autozone with a lifetime warranty.....that ended up lasting 6 months.....it was free to replace, but you had to remove the axle and all that crap just to get to it.....then it went again in about 8 months the next time.....again...LIFETIME warranty...it was free to replace but a PITA to replace because of removing axles. Mechanic even told me that anything electrical from Autozone or Advanced auto to stay away from and that he always replacing electrical equipment from those places and they are garbage. I just saved and got a Honda OEM Alternator.....never had any more problems.....drove the car until 256k miles on it then I traded it in (actually just signed it away) for a 97 Maxima. My opinion is that it may cost a bit more but you might just be better off with OEM electrical parts.
