Should I use a Monsterflow filter? Reviews?

Read the old reviews and heard mixed reviews.

Some said great/some had issues.

I bought a used CAI on the forum a year ago (and obviously have procrastinated to install) I already am keeping the stock hemholz and am trying to decide whether to use the MF filter or buy a dryflow.

input from those with experience is appreciated.

I still use K&N after a combined 10 years and 241,000 miles later and only 2 MAF sensors on 2 different cars.

Thanks,

What about separating the filter and using the velocity stack with another filter? I'm not opposed to this filter but dont like the idea of having to retackify and clean every 15k. Any more input?

Go with a dry flow you'll like it a lot better. No oil involved, only cleaning and drying when necessary. I have a 3" Corksport dry flow on my 5.5 and love it.

Good question!

I honestly dont know,

I bought a PR style CAI a while back and am debating between installing the MF filter or not.

If i get enough neg feedback I will honestly probably hack some of the plastic off and use the built in velocity stack Good ole Texas style redneck engineering

All feedback appreciated

No need for a Monsterflow just get any dry flow. I have a 3" Amsoil dry flow on my 4th gen that's nice.

I'd go with an Apexi dry flow filter. Read some tests on it and not only is it one of the highest flowing filters available, it's one of the best for filtration as well. This was important to me since sand from the Florida roadways gets kicked up inside of engine bays. It has an integrated velocity stack and the end cap is shaped to a point to direct airflow inwards towards the velocity stack, or bellmouth.

I came to that exact same conclusion many years ago, and have been using the APEXi pop-charger ever since. It's pricey, but also one of those things I don't mind spending a little extra for.

BPi stack (45-55$ + filter (another 30$) = ~85$, now you need a MAF adapter.
