Car is a 01 3.0

Heres my exhaust setup. The video has alot of other road noise in the backround and my camera isnt that great. But in the take off you really can tell it has a nice mellow sound. Almost like a I6 not a v6. Also On the highway It has minmal drone which I love.

VIDEO > http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vYSZa2y5ZXs

I installed the obx 3.5 v2 headers. The fitment wasnt great. Seeing the rear manifold and the y-pipe is one peice it makes the rear manifold bolts even harder to reach.
-Second I had to notch the front motor mount bracket becasue of one of the collectors . (pic below)
-Also the front flange angle of the ypipe-front manifold connection was off, I maybe could of crancked it in if I realy tired, but It didnt seem to want to close the gap so I ened up cutting it and re-welding it .(pic below)
-Last the flex section hit the crossmember, had to trim about 1/4~3/8 off the crossmember.(no pic I was to pissed off at this point)

I added a hanger in front of the resonator just behind the test pipe, hope it keep the flex from breaking like it has for others.

I also installed a ebay test pipe, along with a 6x27 magnaflow resonator. its a tight fit , had to remove all the heat shield and it sits on the low side. But Im on tein S so I shouldnt have a issue.

And a megan DT muffler , both are installed onto the ebay catback piping.

Front manifold fitment

Front to y-pipe flange

Vafc tune and dyno numbers are coming within the next few weeks.

So, you can actually get to the bolts. Wanna trade for cattmans?

I still can't get two bolts off the rear header flange b/c I don't have tiny hands.

/rant

Sounds good.

Which two ? I also forgot the mention I bent/cut the rear motor mount heat shield (top center part) alittle in order to get the top two bolts of the motor mount bracket back in.

On the cattman the Y curls right underneath two of the bolts. It makes it very difficult to get them out when the bolts start spinning. I have them loose, but haven't got them off yet. It's very frustrating.

And it blocks one bolt to the lower oil pan completely. That's the reason I'm taking it off >

Ya I have another thread about it , its on one of the recent pages.

I had to get rid of my polly motor mounts, but with stock mounts it gets minimal chatter. Seems like on a hill it shows its face more often.

But i love the revs and response with the 12lb fly so ill deal with it.

Those are a lot easier if you get them from underneath.

Thanks, I was a little leary on going catless because I thought it can make the exhaust sound like crap and drone on the vq. But I think as ong as you get a good resonator like I have you'll be fine.

What are your plans for your exhaust ?

Headers were 380 shipped (ebay)
Test pipe was about 30-40
Magnaflow Resonator was 90 shipped
Megan muffler was 90 shipped

I already had the b-pipe from the ebay catback, but if you dont have a bpipe buy the megan catback and add a resonator . Also the o2 sims I already had .

Gonna be a first ever A chassis full 3" OBX system

3" OBX Resonated TP
Two 3" 17.25 OBX resonators
3" OBX muffler
3" Mandrel piping

Already have OBX V2's in. Hoping it sounds good.

That should sound awsome, I was tempted to do the 3" aswell but I already had the 2.5 b pipe and was just trying to keep my costs down.

6" round 27" long.

Its a tight fit, but not to bad unless maybe some is wheel tuckin then clearance might be a issue.

I hope it does. 34.5" res has me thinking that it might be too quiet.....stockish...

My end to end was 33", but the resonator itself is 27.

Honestly don't think I could of fit one much bigger ...

And as long as you have headers it won't sound stock don't worry.
