So after doing the vacuum hose part of the seafoam, I found a new use for it!

Unfortunately that is confirming that I have an exhaust manifold leak. Just another deterrent to my already one month delay putting my Cattman y pipe on. I guess I'm gonna order manifold gaskets, and add that to my list for the y install, since I already planned on gutting the pre's while I'm there.

I also might as well paint the mani's while there off, since they are pretty fugly. Anyone done this?

 

We used to do this back in the day, run seafoam to look for header and exhaust leaks. so yea, its useful for multiple things lol

 

Useful as a paper weight in my opinion.

I just tried to order the manifold and pre-cat gaskets for my install this weekend, and the stealership guy is saying there isn't a gasket between the front pre and manifold. Is this true?
