Logic, reason...God?

Why don't you buy a MAF adapter?

I doubt he's ever gonna go back to stock.

OP, you can do it if you want. I did it on my 4th gen with no problem. The reason I did it though is because my MAF adapter had a 4" outled and I didn't feel like having to get a 4" to 3" reducer pipe to attach my cone filter.

thanks dude! my intake box is falling apart...until i can afford a proper intake... it s my only option.... i need to remove it... ill either build a new one with pvc pipe and panel bond which is what i think ill end up doing rather than buying one and get the painter at my work to paint it... thanks buddy

I'll sell you my MAF adapter, I never use it with the new set-up. Pay for shipping and its yours.

I bought my car with the Stock air box missing. I have no choice but to stay with Cone filter. Unless I want to pay 60+ for the entire airbox set up at the junk yard. F that.

I still wouldn't cut the MAF adapter plate off though. They do sell adapter plates with 3"+ intake size. Sure some aren't cheep but it's not worth damaging important pieces such as the MAF.
