Front end noise when accelerating

Been dealing with this issue for a while on my 02 Max. I've been thinking it was clogged injectors, bad gas, water in the gas, a clogged fuel filter, and all types of other things like bad sensors. I've used so much Seafoam it's not even funny.I get my car checked out today and the mechanic says it the CV axle. The entire time I'm thinking to myself the CV axle usually makes noise when turning when its bad, not when accelerating. So I tell him OK leave and do my research on it because I think he's full of it. Has anyone ever had this issue and the problem was the CV axle? I'm sick of this rattling noise.....any help tips, help, and advice would be appreciated thanks in advance.

Front end noise= A lot of possibilities. Brake parts, suspension, axles, etc..

^^^^^Its more like a pinging/rattling noise that goes in and out. Sometimes it does it and sometimes it doesn't.

It's a piston slap, pinging noise that is common on the VQ35's. Only thing I think would fix that problem, new pistons and rings. I have the same problem, Premium fuel helps it a lot.

I spent about a year and a half chasing down a mystery "rattle". Turned out to be bad bearings in the tension pulley on the main belt.

So... there's another one for your list of culprits. The nice thing about this, it's a cheap repair.

Yes, that's another possibility, mine was making noise at idle and accelerating.

If you hear the noise mainly at around 2K Rpms its the common issue with the VQ35s.

The engine ping/rattle at 1800/2000 rpm can be quit annoying for sure but it is very common as mentioned, and even more common if you have the timing advanced 2 degree's. Running a can of 1/2 can of Seafoam in a full tank of gas and if you have 94 octane available in your area that pretty much quiets it right down ... except during the very hot summer months and the engine becomes heat soaked you would then still have that slight ping/rattle at the lower rpm.

Thanks guys......so pretty much its not the CV axle? Is there no way it can be the CV axle? I've tried Seafoam and other fuel additives, got my injectors cleaned yesterday and still the noise exists. I guess I'll go with Premium for a while with a can of Seafoam again and see what happens if not I'll have it really checked out fully.

Is it only at 1800/2000 RPM or is it accelerating at all RPMs? I have the same rattle at 1800/2000 RPM even after premium gas and seafoam. No mechanics I spoke to about it said anything about the CV axle so I guess that would be pretty safe to say IMO...

^^^^^^It really doesn't matter it just does it whenever its at or over 1800/2000 rpm. On the Interstate driving 65-80 mph or just regular driving speeds of 30-45 mph, it just does it.
