Installed Cattman CAI today...

And I was pretty impressed all around. While I had the JWT I didn't feel any real loss in low-end torque, but after putting the CAI on I realized I was missing out on a crapload of it. I can feel the difference throughout the powerband, but got the most out of it in the low end. The sound is pretty damn nice too, especially at WOT.

I also had a question. What is it that makes the CAI keep most of the low end grunt as opposed to the hi-flow? I can feel a huge difference and was just curious as to what it's attributed to.

The longer tube of the CAI promotes higher intake charge velocity. This gives better cylinder filling at low RPM.

Good choice of intake . I definitely agree on the low end power (I've had all non force-fed intakes so my assertion is somewhat justified).

The answer to your question....Cooler air during a standing or low speed launch.

Man I been wanting to make my own CAI like that one guy did on his 2k2 max. But I cant until someone gives me some measurements of their current Cattman or PRCAI. Then I can work from there in Welding pipes together and what not.

How do you compare the sound of the JWT to the CAI?

Thanks
