Flex Pipe Busted

That being said, I want to get headers in the spring when I have more money.
So right now my options are:

- Leave it alone until I get headers
- Replace it with a flex pipe
- Replace it with regular pipe? (I figure this might be cheaper assuming regular is cheaper than flex) Would this be an option? I have energy suspension lower engine mounts.

Purchase a new flex section(maybe 20 bucks) and have a local shop R&R it(another 40 bucks). It won't cost too much more than doing the same with a solid pipe. Also, IMO, a leak would be better than a solid pipe.

well if you have any skills and some wrenches the cheapest way would be go to adavanced get two exhaust clamps and a cheap little piece of flexpipe maybe 7$ for pipe and 2-3$ for clamps cut the old piece out and just slide the new piece and clamp it down should last til you get headers. like the other guy said better than a huge leak.

same thing happened to my warpspeed y pipe... I had a local shop put in a new flex... It cost me $75 out the door, I just dropped the car in the morning and at noon it was ready... it is a pretty simple fix if you have the time and a way to get under the car... but if I were you I would just fix it b/c the maxi does get pretty loud with a busted flex pipe

Order a heavy duty turbo interlock lined flexsection from Vibrant Performance you'll never have a failure again! Get the part# you need and order it thru Amazon.com or SportCompactWarehouse.com!
