Maxima Steering Mod.
#51
I'm really curious if the G coupe has a similar rubber bushing in the steering column. I guess I'd have to do some research. If this thing would fit the V/Z chassis, you'd probably be able to make a killing over on Gdriver and my350z, Shift_Max.

The Maxima or the G?
I'm digging up information on our steering columns. So far, everything I've seen and read indicates that we have solid steering columns on the V chassis. I wonder if the FSM would give any better results...

There is nothing wrong with the steering feel on the G, IMO.
No need to do such a mod on the G.
I have mine apart right now though, I wonder if the coupler is visible. I'll peek when I can, if I remember

As previously noted in the write up..... This is a fcking pain in the ****..... But definitely worth the result. Especially with no power steering at slow speed it makes the response much more direct.

all the parts i've bought from the stealer have been in temp controlled warehouses. one could get a new rubber bushing that would be stiffer than the worn one but, still leave some flex in the wheel.
