Steering wheel pull/lock on reverse
Hi everyone,
When changing from my 4th gen to 5th, I noticed something that I believe to be out of place. When I reverse, say to go back first into my driveway, the steering wheel does not straighten itself. If anything, it starts pulling into the direction it is nudged in until it locks completely.
So if I turn the wheel a tad bit and reverse, I could let go on the steering and be doing reverse doughnuts. I don't think this is meant to happen.
My 1998 would just straighten out and center itself no matter what. This happens ONLY on reverse. Normal centering on drive.
What do you think is the root cause? Or is it actually meant to be like this?
