You can't get them under 1k new.

Prices on these went up alongside many suspension/car parts in the last couple of years, and the prices are expected to increase even more over the next few years.
ive found a site that sells them for $1050 but charges $80 shipping. many sites are selling them in the $1200 and the rest are all under $1400 !

For that money, I'd rather get BC coils, but that's just me. I don't think Tein quality or design has improved over the last few years, but BC seems to be putting out some great products across all applications.

They have a similar site for the $1050. It looks exactly the same except for the name.

It looks like that has the EDFC too.

EDIT: Never mind. Call them and ask lol

The BC's on my altima were terrible. Worst ride I've ever felt. Less than 5k miles later when temps started dropping to the 40's the springs started making noises over bumps, when turning. Won't buy again. Not sure if it had to do with the separate shock/spring in the back but I did everything they requested and attempted to make them better. Even at their softest it was a nightmare.

damn that's a crazy price...tuner, let the negotiations begin

Twin tube vs. Single tube
Even if the quality is the same (not likely), the twin tube is just much better suited for daily applications, especially in colder climates.

I plan on getting them within the next month. As much as I dislike being the first to test them out, the site seems pretty promising on the performance of these. From what I read they are just like super streets but allow more difference between the settings of firmness and the collars are made of something diff that is less prone to rust. We shall see.

This is why I need to be lowered soon.

I'm wondering if the Street Advance are at a disadvantage voer others, i.e, BR coilovers, based on the fact that they depend on the stock strut mounts vs. having the camber adjustment plate included...

This is actually exactly why this setup is in favor as far as ride comfort goes. I imagine that there is performance to be had by going with a pillow ball solid type mount but I doubt it will make a huge difference. As long as your suspension is good condition ie. control arm, sway bar(s), ball joints and such, it seems as tein with stock mounts is the way to go imo.

They probably found a way to make them cheaper w/o sacrificing quality. I may have to be a guinea pig

Tein SS and the new "street advance" both rely on stock upper mounts.

This is part of the reason they're so comfortable, and aren't as prone to noise, etc.
