my car is so sloooooooow....

aiite...so im heading home and i see the truck tailing me...i live in chino hills so b4 you actually hit residential areas its all hills for a lil bit so hes tailing me so i accelerate a lil more, going about 70...and im changing lanes passing a car or two up and hes still behind me so im thinkn wtf? and then we start on an incline so i punch it to about 4.5-5k rpms and im gaining distance but then the hills are gone and now we're on a decline so i start slowing down and so does he...next light turns red and we both leading lanes...i looked over and its a Dodge Durango..we're waiting on a decline so i wasnt sure if he was gonna so as it turned green i let go of the brake to see if hes gonna go or not and he goes so i go...he had like 1/4 car from the onset and he stays ahead until about 40 then i start gaining and get ahead of him by ~55 but the next light is red and i have to start braking...i know i didnt get a max for speed but unless the durango is a pretty fast suv im slow....

Hes right, it Probably had the 5.9 in it. Anyways my car feels slow too sometimes, its just because you are getting used to it and the cars motor is so smooth. I hate it sometimes.

Your really NOT slow...

Guys, your really not slow. Just not in the power range at a stop light unless you gun it. The 2000-20001 models don't have low end torque. The "power range" starts around 3500rpm (which you can feel when you hit it).

I test drove the 2k2 and it's totally different. It has both low end torque and high end torque and feels much faster.

00-01 just has a sluggy low range pull. I don't like to race it from the light, I much prefer to be doing 70 then start racing. Makes winning very easy cause most cars aren't built with high range power pull.

That might explain why Ive been seeing stock 1/4 times up to a second faster for the 2K2 over the 2K/2K1's.

BTW, I had a Durango SLT trying get by me yesterday and I pulled on him in my little 4-bangin' Altima, but mine's a 5-speed and it was from about 40 to 70. He was out of his element at higher speeds.

I agree, it's rare that I race from a stop. But, there are also a lot of "fast" vechiles out there.

I posted on it before so I willn't waste time, but my Jeep will beat most cars. My sig has the stats.

I am waiting for data on the G35, RWD can give a car at least a .3sec advantage with all things being equal.
