Damn those A4s are slow cars...

So many of those A4s running here in Boston area..
I ran with one last night it was 2000 A4 2.8 5-speed, beat him pretty bad.
Same thing happened a month ago with A4 1.8T, he got beat pretty bad. It was funny because that guy on A4 1.8T pulled next to me and I looked over and saw, Damnnn S4 wheels, HID so I think S4. So I decided to see how I will do or how I will get killed by S4.
Light truns green and I shoot out from the light, he is already like 3 cars length behind me. I was like wtf?, what is wrong with that S4. So, I wait for him to pass me and see 1.8T. Damn he should at least removed the 1.8T badges. he he he.
Yeah I know that some of those 1.8T can be chipped crazy.
So the buttom line is, Audi cars stock are pretty slow except S4 and maybe A6 2.7T and those V8s.

Aren't the chipped 1.8T's a bit faster than the stock 2.8's? From what I have heard, you can chip the 1.8T and get 200 HP out of it. But you may kill the turbo in the long run if you do so. Anyhow, the A4's are not all that fast, but the Quattro is cool.

I've heard you can chip the 150hp 1.8T to almost 200hp for about $200. But you HAVE to check out this site!
Under Audi A4, select 1.8T. Then select the HP from the pulldown the right. All the numbers there are dynoed, except for the last two. They're saying they can get 420hp and 374 ft-lbs of torque out of that little engine (of course, it only costs $24,672 to do it. For that and the price of the original car, they should have started with an S4 in the first place!)

New E-proms in ECU, optimization of flow to intercooler, new turbo, exhaust manifold, wastegate, intercooler, injectors, fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator, camshafts, crankshaft, piston rods, pistons, oil cooler, clutch, flywheel, air filter, modification of air filter housing and charge air hoses and pipes, extra engine mounts, modification of crank case breather, porting of cylinder head, 2 x race cats, stainless steel exhaust (turbo-back).
With all that, it really isn't the same engine anymore. But it is interesting that they can do that. I wonder how long that engine will last though...
