Good call on a rear disc brake upgrade. Drum brakes suck!

Clashez your playing in a era where you will look forever for the correct parts to make that car run proper.in my days of running TOY's it was hard to get parts but now its going to be damn near impossible to work on.also dont talk about putting a 350 in there its not going to happen without notching the frame and extending it,moving the firewall back 15 inches, cutting out and building a new trans tunnel and driveshaft tunnel also you'll be needing to get a rear of a trans am or camaro and have it chopped and axles made then you'll need to get the rear frame boxed.

I'd wait on wheels. First thing is getting it checked out to make sure rust and corrosion hasn't taken it's toll on it. If you got structural damage, it's not even worth looking at.

It gets hotter than hell out there in the summer, too. Since it's in the middle of the state, the seabreeze from the Atlantic or the Gulf doesn't meet there, and the summer thunderstorms form right over there when both seabreezes from the east and west converge and form updrafts forming the storms. Lightning like a **** too! After all, that's why Florida is the lightning capitol of the world.

For those that don't know about sand spurs, those little things are lethal. They're so strong they'll stick themselves in the bottom of shoes, or even in thick rubber tires!

They are, and they'll fck you up quick... And they dig in deep, and when you pull them out, they don't come out clean, since they're designed to bite in and dig in deep. Each little spur you see has one directional barbs on them, so they're razor sharp points go in, but they don't come out easily without a fight, and some missing skin and blood.

If you disturb their nests they will attack within seconds, and you'll have thousands of them all over you before you know WTF is happening.

Did they look like this?

I'm not talking about the body. Fenders and crap like that can be replaced. I'm talking about rust damage compromising the structural integrity of the car itself. You gotta get that thing up in the air and inspect every inch of it in the chassis area and where main parts of the body attach to the frame, and the frame itself.

Ok just ran into an issue with my car maybe u guys can help.

I was outside tighting my squealing belt, playing music from my car, when I started it and drove to check if everything was fine my battery and brake lights come on when im idling or not pressing the gas, as soon as I step on the gas, even slightly, they go away. Now ive searched and all the threads lead me to believe its the alternator but every thread the issue is they stay on and not go away. But mine go away when I hit the gas. You guys think its just a grounding prob? I just replaced my old alt with a 125amp alt from advanced just 2 months ago

I can imagine there bein tons of them in a city like that. But every college guy here either has an Evo, Subaru (Brobaru), or an S2K. Sure they're cool but why have the same car as everyone else?
