im all for trying something new but i dont think the results of that coupling will be worth the effort. Even thou you are raising the compression the 3.5 head>>>the 3.0.

What would be interesting if you are willing to drop the guap, is a 3.5 with a compression ratio in the 12.x:1, you already have the tuning equipment. we would definitely be seeing up words of 300whp.

Why the sudden change of heart?

But that's the final bottleneck IMO for your setup. Your heads have the capability of flowing so much air, but your current displacement can only pump so much. It will really wake up what you have. I'm willing to bet that you'll hit 240hp at 5k and it will just keep climbing from there.

I'm willing to bet he'll touch 300hp with that setup. But realistically, around 285-290

Man, fck that. My heads are not stock 3.0 heads. And without a flowbench you can't say whether ported/polished/valvejobbed 3.0 heads are worse than stock VQ35 heads. Not hearing it.

Because I have a leak in my rear main seal, and I'll be goddamned if I pay hella labor to pull the oil pans to fix this POS seal without getting any satisfaction out of it.

PS I PM'd you.

I know they are not stock 3.0 heads. I know you want to hold on to those heads but it would surprise me if you are just at the level of a stock 3.5 head. A 3.5 head with just valve springs could very well out flow you.

Get your heads flowtested so there will be no guessing involved.

Suratt is putting down 300 to the ground with his 7th gen 3.5 with the Haltec. I think Moncef can produce the same numbers with a 3.5 block, by my guess.

Research nismo 3.5 heads. They are essentially worked 3.0 heads.

They have the head flow up there.....and Cossy heads flow well into the 400s. It seems they were taking advantage of the compression bump more than the head flow, probably because they didnt have to change much of anything in the 3.5s short block.

Put that thing on a dynojet. And unless you add EVT I don't see anything gained at peak. IVTs do the under the curve thing but have yet to add anything peak that's why they retard for optimal performance otherwise. EVTs ate where it's at for peak/ post 5K gains.

Hello! What I've been preaching for as long as I can remember.

But at the same time, I'm hoping to confirm/disprove that theory when I'm done with mine.

By the way, TunerMax...paint your sedan Caribbean Blue.

It's rare. And, at least, IMO, a very good-looking color for the G.

What kind of port and polished job, I know they offer so many different flavors when it comes to p&p, light, milded to wild. it all depends on whos doing the job and how big of a port you got... so power gain all very.... you could very well have a head that out flows the 3.5 head and the nismo heads
