5th gen Off Topic Thread (Official Ghustle thread v1)
Our cars are so poorly tuned from the factory, I would venture to say it doesn't even matter if the IAT was there or not.
But I do know that my 4th gen ran like absolute asz if the IAT somehow got loose from near the air filter and ended up dangling in the engine bay somewhere. I'd fix it by re attaching it near the filter and it made all the difference in the world, which is weird.
So, I think I just contradicted myself, but that's been my experience.

Yeah they completely ripped off Aston Martin's front end and grille though. Ford owned Aston for some time though so I guess its not completely taking their idea?

Wow this must be the new Ghustle thread! I come back for lunch and gotta scroll through almost 5 pages from this morning!
OAN, that Fusion does look like an Aston, but that's OK because of 3 things: 1: It's way cheaper, 2: It's way more reliable... and 3: It makes for a pretty dang good looking Fusion.

Got the rental today while the wife's outback is in the shop...
2011 Chevy Aveo. Holy hell this thing sucks. Good thing I get my car back from the wife's clutches tonight. I couldn't stand driving this POS longer than the time it'll take to get home

Are they still Aveo's in 2011? Because I saw what I thought was an Aveo and turned out to be a Sonic the other day.
Sup hustlers? Hows it going now that the Hustle thread has lost its essence? BTW I think I have jury duty tomorrow.....jealous lol?
Some have tried to manipulate our timing through the IAT. I have mine taped right under the filter. Its certainly something to think about

Tune by tape. I wont knock it because grey's a respected member on here, but I just think it's crazy but cool and obviously effective.
I also remember when eng92 used to use duct tape to "tune" by tape, sort of, in the past, less air, but moAr timing, but once again, we all knew that.
As far as the IAT goes, I'm not sure how that adds to the dynamic of timing and stuff.
Recently, since I blew my effing WB and haven't had time to install my new WB, I did some logs, 2 different times and noticed my timing is quite a bit lower than it used to be (-3-5º, in some cases more).
I skreet tuned the AFR after I added the 3.5" intake. And added quite a bit of fuel (went from -8-12 to +10-12%) in order to get it back to where it was.
And then I added more for cheap insurance, due to me blowing out the damn WB so I'm sure that's the cause.
What I need to do is get the new WB installed since none of the cheap aszes want to buy it along with my PnP UTEC package. or, just go to the dyno and shoot for a decent AFR on the rollers.

Lol Im gonna be pissed if I get selected. Im taking a month long summer class and missing one day is like missing a few weeks. Im gonna have to drop it if I get selected and its a long case. But the odds of that are slim. I've never got selected
Just be yourself and you'll be fine.
LOL, you think your car is loud now, just wait.
what sucks is that it's in the summer

Yes and if it works you better share. Im gonna see what lethal can do with the FIC and Ill report back but I dont want an extreme tune and have the fear of running too lean. I might get sick and tired of building up N/A and just throw a bottle in the trunk when I want serious power. Its all up in the air. Im thinking about just scraping the SC
