i've been on craigslist all week searching for a 4th gen alternator but i only see 5.5 alternators selling...

you can make just about any alternator fit with a bracket but I dont know if it bolts right up. You can try a reman from the auto store if you want but those usually fail prematurely. Try ebay for an OEM equivalent but get pictures first and the part number ON THE BOX just like tommy boy
