Ok need some opinions im on the fence because i dont feel like doing that kinda of work over again:
Some of you know i picked up a low mileage AE trans, and when i installed it last week i found out it doesnt fit properly. The transmission itself probably came off a 3.5 swapped sentra because it does not line up properly. Ive been talking to the P/O and he said he bought the car like that and it came out of a 3.5 swapped 4th gen so he had no idea, although it seems he is using stock mounts which cannot be possible with my findings. This to me is not adding up.
So here is the issue, the trans itself needs to come down about 3-4 inches to be in the proper position, for my shift linkage to line up and axles to go in etc. So here is my options:
1. Get longer bolts and space out the mount and try and use the transmission?
2. Pull it off and put my old trans on and try and get my money back? Still have to pay for shipping if i do this.

Fck if I know, they look weird as ch1t, tall azz heads and weird looking block.
Fun times...I have to quote for CJ to see. One of the few post he might approve of by you. lol

If you still can get in contact with the previous owner of the transmission, ask him if his transmission mount is OEM or from an auto parts store.
If it wont physically mount to the block, check your clutch alignment.
And the reason I asked about the mount in my previous post is because I had to make spacers one time for the tranny mount for a friend. The mount was from advance auto and the part with the 4 bolts that hold the tranny was alot slimmer than stock. So the bolts would bottom out while there was like a 1 1/2" gap between the tranny and mount.
I thin people underestimate how much abuse the VQ35 can take. IMO, it can be just as reliable as the VQ30. One of the daily driven maximas down here was 3.5 swapped, track time every weekend, dynos every month or so, then put on boost, abused some more, then pulled for a mild all motor buid, abused some more, then got hit with a 50 shot followed by a 75, then a 150. Now it's back to being a completely all motor daily driver. And the last time it was tuned was before he started spraying the 50 shot. And even then it was just a mild A/F tune via MAF voltage with the EB.
Iz you rollin?
I'm excited.

Small turbo, putting down about 230-240whp. You got yourself a pretty peppy DD with mpgs still on your side.
This actually could be you:
