Far as I can tell, not a damn thing. It's quiet around here when we're not b1tching at one another.
I even un-hid a few of clashez's posts out of boredom, but he seems to be having a conversation with himself.
And CJ seems to be losing his mind with high cal, high fat foods. There's a new avatar each day.
Weird thread getting weirder.

There's been a new Audi S4 in the parking lot at work this month. Shades of gray with black and chrome trim. Beautiful wheels, big brakes, lots of little details. Almost too many details... but only almost, because overall it's a beautiful car.
Not this exact car here, but same color/year:

First step tomorrow is raising it up about an inch and correcting camber/allignment as close as possible. It's wayyyy ytoo low right now.
Then onto the rear.
Once it's all assembled and set that's a good idea for sure.
I'm probably replacing the hood also but the options are limited.

LOL, you fainted. That works for you, eh hustler?
There are all kinds of cars at my office park. My employer's 550i 6MT, my co-workers SLK55 AMG, my G37S 6MT, this Audi S4, a new Challenger SRT8, a couple of C6's (one convertible), a beautiful white Infiniti M56, a couple of vintage Jaguars, a drop-dead gorgeous black on black 740i, about two dozen various 3- and 5-series BMW's, and on and on.
Most of these cars park on the periphery of the lot, like I do, and there's an unspoken respect about parking next to one another that you don't get if you park closer to the buildings.
Sometimes I like to take a break and just walk around. It's nice.

There's a SLK300 in the parking lot, and although a middle-aged guy drives it, yes, it's a chick's car. But there's no way any sensible person can call a SLK55 AMG a chick's car, because if you know cars then you know what that little rocket can do.
Respect for cars starts from the inside out. Looks are secondary.
We've had this discussion before.
I do OK. Unlike most of my co-workers, I live in a very modest home. I know too many people who make 2x income, but live life on a tight budget because of McMansion and private schools. That's not for me and mine.
Actually, in the back with the yuppie egomobiles, but way on the edge and usually alone. I've got this nice spot where there's a break in the trees, so I don't get bird crap and tree **** on me, and yet is far away enough that no one parks next to me.
Some years ago I used to have to park downtown in a ramp garage, and that drove me nuts worrying about the car. The way I've got it now is very safe and casual. And I can see the car from my office, which is nice.

Funny you posted this pick Roch, I have to detail one tomorrow at work. It has beautifull Recaro's in it with the S4 logo in them. It's a really nice car but needs bigger wheels . Here's is a pic of it last week the day it left on a rally with a bunch of other exotics from Boston to Tn to the Tail Of The Dragon.

It's a head-turner, that's for sure. And that new 8AT has received great reviews. I like it, even if the interior is rather crude, like a typical Dodge.

if the car was a human it wouldve been a transvestite, one that went through surgery , girly outside but still manly
#8717
lol yea, fixed it now... man i love the new body style, even more than the G8 but jeez wiz the prices is still pretty steep lol i think the R/T is still in the 30's lol
#8718
if you can afford a SLK55 you couldve afford an E55 .... chicks car... thats that car you buy for the chick thats into cars and wanna be all manly with cars as far as the speed goes.... i looks girly no matter who made it and no matter the motor inside...

I'm sure in Europe no one would think "chicks car", but this is North America after all, where Dodge can sell cars like the Challenger.
Meh. It comes down to what you know. I mean, you clearly know what you like, even if you can't articulate it. We'll just leave it there.

Challenger VS. G8... don't really want either, but respect aspects of both cars. Between the two, I'd advise the G8. It's more unique, and I think just a little bit smaller, although not much if at all.

This applies to many, many cars. Another is a Porche Boxster.
All with great potential/power/handling, etc, but all through and through, chick cars. Nothing can be done to change that outside of outlandish body work.
Which is what I'd do to a miata
