never a drip of oil or anytihng. That thing is so solid I have so much confidence in it. I'd boost that to 10 psi and not be concerned at all.

Yuuuup

Same here. Loved that DE-K though it was gutless (for me), love the 3.5 more. But if they had a RWD DE-K I'd be tempted to put it in and boost that. Just a way stronger engine all around.

If both engines are cared for, tuned, maintained and monitored right they will be fine. Nismomaxct has a pretty sick boosted 3/5, He would be one to ask about those. Those brakes are on a Ferrari 458 Italia spider i cleaned earlier today, I think your right on the money in the 20,000 area

This is one of those time where i look at all your G's, and 3.5's and realize how tired I am of the 3.0. Great engine reliability and DD wise, but it REALLY dosen't have much of anything down low. One of the main reasons i love my Pathfinder and it's torque happy 4.0, Anything above 2500RPM's and you start moving. Just so much low end torque. Just sucks i'm still in high school and can't afford to do a 3.5 swap on my current max, or purchase an 03 MT, or an 03-04 G.

250? It says 2500 in your quote. No, i don't feel it's a harsh statement. A stock 3.0 IS pretty gutless down low, Up above 5k, Yeah it pulls with some low end bimmers. But down low? No, it IS a slug.

Yes my 1st car. $640/month. It's only like $80 now though. And my 25 year drop hasn't kicked in yet.

Anyone see the dyno speak I posted this AM comparing Mystang, Dynojet, DynoDynamics, and Dynapack?

Was fairly informative. Same car no changes.

DEK vs DE is waaaay less impressive compared to a 3.5 DE HR comp.

3.0 let's see IM and exhaust cams ... Which in comparison are less aggressive but they work well together for some reason.

3.5 ok IM dual MAFs cams heads EVT Compression ratio and it's late and I'm missing a few but yeah HR is the holy grail of 3.5'ness.

I'm out .... Til the AM

are you comparing it to the truck??? another biased comparison seeing as thought the power to weight ratio n gearing still favored the 3.0 lol

Oh, i'm comletely sure it's biased BUT i'm not comparing them side by side. I was just saying that is the thing i like so much about the truck, the low end torque.

The DE-K is one of those engines that takes boost no problem. That freaking engine is so phenominal it never ceases to amaze me. Nissan killed it with that one. The 3.5 is awesome but reliability/build quality doesn't even come close.

If the Maxima wasn't so crappy of a platform (IMO) and was Manual, I'd have a boosted DE-K right now without a doubt.

Actually I stil lhave the Maxima, I drove it Tuesday. It was aweful
You guys must have not seen what I wrote about that 3.5 down here. Daily driven on boost making around 370whp. Regular track and dyno days. And now takes regular abuse on a 150 shot. Hasn't been tuned in a couple years. And when it was, it was just a basic A/F tune with a EB via maf correction.
