Unless the 7speed Autos are THAT MUCH slower than 6MTs.
Car in the right lane walked my friend's G37S Auto from a slow roll until 110 then the cars stopped piling on, he said he was catching up but we shut it down by then.
The right lane car is a VQ35 swapped AE 5MT w/ stock fed spec manifolds from a 4th gen. Stock y Pipe from a 4th gen, stock cat, and a 2.5" straight pipe to a maganaflow muffler after that.
His intake is godawful, filter, maf throttle body.... Spacers and Blockoff plate too.
Now, the stock 02 (well... it has subs and a block off plate, everythign else is stock) in town we have that raced the G37 didn't put on such a lead but it kept the lead.
Hell.... even I kept up w/ the G37 for the most part.... And I pull on 6mts until 60 or so... then because VVEL they go flying past me.
Then the G37 got mods and shut **** down, completely different car, walks all of us instantly, no longer in our class.
Stillen Tubes, HFCS and a tune, he can walk us w/o trying now. But he's deployed... that car won't be making any appearances in vids for quite some time.

I had a Hemi Challenger try to walk my AE the other night and couldn't...He was so mad he actually stopped his car on the shoulder until I went by and then rolled up on my **** and tailed me for 3 miles. I toutled along at EXACTLY the speed limit...lol!

From what I understand, the 08's n below were way slower... My friend had a Hemi charger n I toyed with that car even as n auto n he had intake n catback

Yeah the 08's were the first year of a Challenger and I believe they had the pre-Eagle heads that didn't flow as well. Once 09 hit though, they started putting the Eagle heads on and HP jumped by 40 or so. Torque was unchanged. A 6-speed SRT8 Challenger is the only way to go, IMHO.

It was more of a fun factor with me n my friend has he's not into that kinda thing, he got those mods cause I begged lol... It never became one of those "bigger *****" contest... That's kinda what I hate about todays car enthusiasts around here n who i associate with...

Lol the somewhat remind me of the G35 coupes... decently bolted n Avg times n the G stuggles to break 13's... The G37's seem always stuck in the 13's unless you do something more over the top of HFC's tune n intake or whatever other boltons... They love the Hwy though lol...

to laugh n be sarcastic on an engine being TQ'less is that 240/169 honda dyno you posted not a DEK... you almost say it in a condescending manor in regards to a VQ motor, like its some kind of an outsider or something... i dont get it...
And the joke was you can't really tell the diff between that and a Moncef dyno.
