Methodology? No, not really. Although you have to admit, it made sense to use the fender washers on the headlight straps, don't you think? But buttoncap ti-bolts on the open-hood sensor.

Those are titanium M6 nuts with those funky rubber-backed washers on the bumper straps and radiator tie-downs.

Do whatever you want, man. Experiment. It's your car, and odds are you (and us) are the only ones who will ever see under the hood.

You could ask, but I don't think you'll get a response, because HIPAA.

Once again, my teenage friend, age has far more benefits than youth. (Unless you hate shaving, which I do.) Talk to me about it in 30 years, and you'll see.

Of course, I'll likely be dead by then.

Out of curioisity, and if you don't mind me asking, just shoot me a rough age range? 40-50, 50-60 etc

fair enough. I am trying to find those buttoncap type tapered bolts in anything but titanium and it's ******* pricey!!! Cheapest I've found is 40 shipped for a 20 pack of aluminum ones, m6*20mm.

I have also pretty much nixed the idea I had of painting the washers body color. I may do a couple just to see, but right now I'm thiking leaving them silver and pretty, and leaving the body color (or black) to the rad. supports and what-not...

Nah, I don't mind. Age is in my profile. I'm 48. That's almost three of you, LOL.

Aluminum hardware can be soft. Be careful where you use it.

Anyway... your car? You want VMS fender washers in gunmetal.

Yeah, I'm not going to do the aluminum...at least not now, not all at once.

Those VMS ones sure are pretty...but I could just spray some SS washers gunmetal to get the same look...or keep the shiny :dunno:

I've got the gunmetal ones on my front/back license plates. Gloss black VMS fender washers in the engine bay of the G. Still waiting on a handful of Ti-bolts and nuts for the engine bay. Thought they'd be here today. Oh well... tomorrow.

No wait, I've got two of them in gunmetal, holding the white overflow bin in place. The gunmetal looked better than black here.

I simply can't imagine what that's like. Getting people angry for the fun of it? For shame!

LOL

But not noobs! That would just be mean. Unless it's an intake thread, and then all bets are off.

That's right! I forgot that I'm a "blithering WOP" according to 'Mr. politically correct.' Should I consider that a bigoted ethnic slur 'Archie'?

CJ; I say take the GTR to work Monday & show it to Apu before he finds out you ripped apart his rack. He'll crap curry when he sees the car & then the rack!
Or am I politically incorrect w/ that suggestion?

But I tried. You can't rock to that crap, Crusher. It just makes you angry. Now this, this is Rock:

Bob! For gracious sake! If you're going to wait until the DVD comes out, you can't expect anyone who saw it at the theater to wanna hear about it anymore. Day late, dollar short.

By any chance were you someone who actually got angry watching All in the Family in the 70's? You're so missing the point that there's no point in pointing out the point.

Layers, Bob. Like an onion. Layers.
