That's the good thing about 9gag, everything is consolidated. It's your one stop shop!

I've sold new and used, and also worked in an auto parts warehouse where people would bring in a destroyed cv axle, throw it on the counter getting grease n scheit everywhere, and say "i need dis one".
"make and model car?"
"it's a 87 Whatever but it's got the motor of a 95 whatever"
"okay... what transmission is it?"
"4 speed overdrive automatic"
"got a trans code?"
"no, just look up the closest thing you got and pull it and let me look at it"

I just thought about something. I think I hit a snag in my swap and I think !!!!!NMEX!!!!!! has the answer.

for auto 02-03 maximas, if the ECU doesn't see the CAN signal at all, will the car start and run?

Yup, been there, done that!

What's fun is a guy looking for turn signal and brake light bulbs for an old car with a 6 volt system. This guy had an old Porsche 356 that he didn't convert over to 12 volts yet, and he brings in this crazy looking light bulb that looked like it came from Thomas Edison's own personal workshop. Yeah, that wasn't happening.

Interesting, but the action looks clunky and awkward. It needs more work.

I'd stick with a Benelli Nova, or the old reliable Remington 870.

The LS-1 is awful, only because it sits so far back in the engine bay. Literally half of the motor sits up under the firewall. Doing spark plugs on the LS motors is a PITA as well.

I know long tubes are a royal pain. I've heard shorties aren't too bad, though.

Or... I'd have to prune the dash harness I have anyways...

Now I'm seeing why I never attempted the full swap.

I dont think the harness is going to be a issue it works when you do it the other way around ie auto everything trans and ecu swap to mt i think at the most youll get a cel for something trans related but it will run

I understand that logic. But the thing is that since the MT ecu is void of anything CAN related, it doesn't give a rats azz about that.

If I remember correctly, the trans computer is located behind the dash around the area where the radio is supposed to be. It's a silver box. I'll double check just to verify. Just unplug it and see if the car cranks atleast.
