5th gen Off Topic Thread (Official Ghustle thread v1)

I also did my mirror arms, because I got sick of them looking faded and like all of the fiberglass composite was about to fall apart. They actually look pretty nice.
Change of plans. No more Evo X. So now I have a decision to make:
Once I pay the G off, I'm wanting to save up and buy a 240, or Teggy as a DD.
Pros of the 240 are RWD and turbo applications. Cons are that everyone around here that owns one is a F&F wannabe, and has either destroyed the car, or wants an arm and a leg for one.
Pros of the Teggy are good gas mileage and lots of cheap tuning options. Cons are FWD and Honda fanboi status.

i love being a honda fanboy
sometimes, there are idiots in the honda world, more than the maxima world, but...i distance myself from the asshats
It will start, but will be in limpmode, for some weird reason the CAN lines are directly related to the APPS/TPS signals, so then you will fall into the true limp mode where 3-5 MPH seems like you're hauling,.
so thats what that christmas tree effect i got when i tried it out for him this morning ment

Thinking about it. But like I said, every moron in Nashville that owns one seems to want way too much for the car. They Blue Book for around $2-3000 in good shape.
Kids around here are asking double that.
I kind of want a Honda just for the cheap tuning options. Sure, they're slower than a 5.5 Maxima. But they can also be made wicked fun cornering cars for wicked cheap.

i want some other stuff, but i'm going to deal w/ some details right now before i go further into all of that. speed thing doesnt bother me one bit anymore..only reason i'm antsy about speed right now is because of this POS malibu i had to drive for 2 months that had integra speed and maxima gas consumption....GIMME ONE OR THE OTHER DAMNIT !!!!!!!!!!
As you might recall I did something super stupid a while back and cut through 12 wires on the main harness and the CAN lines were a couple of those wires.
That'll work. I don't know why Nissan began using CAN lines in 02-03. Seems as if they just wanted to try something out for future years.

I don't know if you saw my post from yesterday, but my dilema is that I'm gonna be using a 6MT dash harness. But everything else is from an auto. All I'm going to do is take the wires/pigtails for the tcm, and run it directly to the proper connectors on the engine harness. That should do the trick.
Yup. It's a stupid system if you ask me. But then again, it does exactly what its supposed to for the owners that don't **** with it.

My buddies S13 is finally done:

I haven't had a chance to go in there and look but thanks, gonna take a look now.
