You don't have to be married to appreciate this post I saw on fb, but it helps:

Yeah it's just temporary. It works well, though. I slathered it on there as thick as I could get it.

The 215's were only offered for a very short period on the lower output (early 03/04) engine, only on sedans, and only on the 17"
They MIGHT have been offered on the AWD, not sure, but if so that is a different ball game and defeats the point you were trying to make.

The point is, any version of this car worth talking about came with wider tires. Any rims worth investigating came with larger tires.

I learn something new every day. What was the power output of the 03-04 G's that had the 215's? AFAIK 05 and 06 had 280, and 07+ had 308.

EDIT: the 03-early 04 G's had 260HP, Still more than enough to overwhelm 215's. Anyways, Have you Dynoed your 03 after all the mods?

On another note, I don't get why they never offered a 6MT on the AWD version. It would be exactly what I want.

Year-//-Model-//-HP/TQ-//Transmission

03-04 -SEDAN -260/260- Either
03-04 -COUPE -280/270- Either

05-06 -EITHER -280/270- AUTOMATIC
05-06 -EITHER -300/260- 6MT

07-09 -Sedan -305/270
08-09 -Coupe - same

However in 07 HP ratings changed @ nissan, and elsewher in this timeframe. That means that the actual output is higher in the 07-09 by comparison to the older version, more than the 5HP it looks like on paper.

It's hard to follow, there's been many changes, differnet transmissions give different output, crossing years between coupe/sedan, etc.
Tire size changes are just as hard to follow. But rest assured, the thought that 215's are insufficient isn't a meritted thought.

Nissan's AWD is nothing to chat about anyways. It's heavy and not nearly as efficient as it's competitors.

It's also much harder to modify.

I need either FWD or AWD, I spend the winters driving up and down mountain roads regularly in 12+ inches of snow. I've gotten stuck in the 05 Pathfinder before, so RWD just won't cut it.

I felt the same over the last two days about this new 24" DELL Monitor. Just couldn't get the settings right. And what's with this 16:9 aspect ratio?

So glad I swapped it for my monitor at work. Now at home I've got two absolutely stunning Samsung 24" monitors side-by-side, in the traditional 16:10 aspect ratio, each running 1920x1280. It's gorgeous.

And at work, I've got this new 24" DELL, with a pair of 17" flat-screens, one on each side. Gives a really nice wrap-around effect.

When you open the hood of a real car, all you should see are huge, black plastic panels from one fender to the next.

No, wait... is that what we've come to?

Nope, you've got it backwards. Huge plastic panels are for posers who lease their car & wouldn't know which end of a screwdriver to turn.

Real cars dispense with superfluous covers. And are proud to show the world what they're made of, when they drop their pants.

My credit card has a limit. I also have to get a new radiator fan assembly since one of my fans stopped working. That was another added expense I didn't anticipate. My estimate is already at $1,000 now with the radiator and fan assembly, and i'm going to be renting a car too for a couple of days.

Last time I was dialed into the graphics card market, AGP 4X was king. I don't even know what's what anymore, CJ. What's the make/model of the card you're offering? Kind offer, BTW. Thank you.

CJ, I certainly would want that Quadro 2000... but I'm thinking like the old me, when I used to get all jiggy about computer parts. This new DELL is coming with 1g GDDR5, and I can't help but think that's plenty of graphics power to watch youtube videos of stupid cat tricks.

That's very kind of you. Let me get my new PC up and running first, and see if the new computing horsepower gets me interested in computer gaming all over again. At this time, all I'm thinking of doing is loading up COD4 and playing it again, but this time with all the graphics at full tilt, instead of crippled.

BTW, I don't do CAD graphics work either. My work is in custom business applications.

Cj, are those XYZ coilovers still a go? I'm interesting in picking up a set once I make a few credit card payments after my upcoming lower rad support repair I have scheduled for next week.
