This. I'm all for a functional car. But a nicely done stanced vehicle always gets to me. Especially one that can perform too atleast as a daily driver.
i'll never say a fake wheel > real wheel, they both serve their purpose, i look at 'fake wheels' as a perfect daily wheel, i personally cant see driving daily on an expensive set of wheels. but i'd daily teh **** out of a nice set of xxrs or varrosteons

You want to put a VQ35 under the hood of your car and road race it, correct? with a Sentra's 6spd? Spin city b1tch. 1st AND 2nd gear will be problematic and dont tell me you plan to put a 245 on a x8 because that aint gonna help.

unless you are gonna run slicks but even then.....

Surching

I mean, FWIW, I'd get a set of fake rims as DD's, and leave the real rims at home, in a box, ready to be bolted on if I'm going to a show.

Especially with the roads the way they are here in Nashville, I'd HATE to drive on a set of expensive rims, and risk curb rash.

What people don't understand, too, is that you can get a LOT of nice, name-brand rims for the same price as some of the fake rims. It's a matter of shopping.

Then again, I still have no issue whatsoever with fake rims. Rota is obviously making a name for themselves, considering they've been used by a few cars in racing circuits.

I'm also pretty positive his car has a bigger contact patch in the rear end than 99% of these hellaflush fanboys.

F*ck off and go wrap your intake in some plaid fabric. Calling parts like Wilwood and Bride knock-off? You must either love trolling or be a complete moron.

meh, i'm not a person that's big on material. yea the guy spent more on teh volks, but just because he spent more money on the wheels makes his car that much better? granted, that day i posted up the vid about the RX7 that had the P45s on it w/ all that other 'quality work' that was done and it caught fire, i do believe if you go all out on a vehicle, a wheel is nothing to get a knockoff version on. but even if still, if it looks fine, it is what it is. i appreciate the knockoff just like the real deal...if they are side by side and it just so happens that the person who did a better execution w/ the knock off wheel and it looks better setup than the real deal, i'm giving credit where it's due, that's just me

DOT Approved (Well at one point in time they were... But I get by on street classes inspectors that aren't suuuper good @ their job ) Slicks, and I don't think I've ever used 2nd gear unless I fck up on a road course.

Smoking Joe uses 225s, that's good enough for him, same for me.

I don't often wish that people would get hit by a freight train. I'm generally a pretty nice and accepting guy when it comes to people.

But him.

i have no problem what so ever with knockoffs, i like em too, but i know their place. And i think everybody else on here should learn their place aswell. im not going to come on here and brag about $600 wheels like what i have seen happen a few times.

I'm just sick and tired of hearing him "call me out," trying to get ME to drive three fawking hours to "race" him.

If he wants to "race" me so bad, he needs to come to Nashville and call me out. And if he does, it's not going to be a straight-line race, oh no. I want to see that shoddy eBay suspension do work. We're going backroad driving.

Honestly, it'd be worth it to me to drive three hours to where he lives just so I can set that thing he calls a "stanced" car on fire.

You are gonna spin 2nd if you are on a tight course. i would go for some 245s on a x9 or 255s on a 9.5. But if its on a long course than i can see why. I would still go for a wider wheel.

A VQ35 with an SAFC-II, cold air intake, exhaust (with multiple restrictions in it), (supposed) rev-up cams (which will do NOTHING without the supporting retaining clips/springs/valves that will allow you to rev higher), a port and polish, and a block off plate?

Yeah, your car is going to STOMP on Shift_Max's turbo car.

I swear to God, every time he opens his mouth, it's like watching Fast and Furious all over again.

I repeat.

I have never used 2nd gear on a road course (unless I made a mistake).

Not this one:

Nor this one:

Or this one:

Grand Sport Speedway, Houston, TX

I have a short geared 6MT for a reason.
