Out of curiosity, what is Moncef doing in this picture? At first you might think he's picking his nose. But then if you look real closely, it kind of looks like he's holding a pipe up to his mouth.

Tuner, have you considered replacing the gears in your rear diff for something with a taller ratio?

I've only just now realized this is an option for the 6MT.

Actual question, I mean, you do realize he's taking a picture right? You're just being silly?

Not for long did I consider this. My diff has very decent gearing, maintaining low end torque/pickup without killing the top end economy. Perfectly balanced, IMO.

The automatics, 05/06 and some other models I guess had shorter rear end gearing which caused these to rev pretty high at highway cruising (>3k). Then again, some auto's, etc have weak a$$ tall gearing that kills low end pickup and power transfer.

The long/short is it's not needed for this car unless it becomes a track car. Which would mean it gets SHORTER gearing.
And it wont. For either.

Going to a 3.36 from a 2.92 in the Pathy. MPG, didn't buy a 5.6 for MPG.

Your G35Driver forum has all kinds of threads about the 4.083 gear swap on the G-6MT. I think you ought to give it a second look.

And Hotchkis sways... I'm wanting these now a little bit more than I want a set of HFC's.

Meh. Does absolutely nothing for me.

Accord = Camry = Altima. And in that lineup, I'd take the 2013 Altima SE any day.

Well as far as "looks" go in this class of car, the Kia Optima wins that round easily.

A family sedan that has the Optima's design, the power of the 3.5 Altima, the mechanical reliability of the Camry, the interior of the VW CC, and the build quality of the Accord.

Wrap that up and you've got a winner...

...on paper. Maybe not in real life.

Optima is a winner visually, on paper, and i guess in real life IMO lol... They definately came a veeeery long way to even be named in that line up with the 3 main flagship type cars... N lets face it, the altima is now nissans flagship lol
