Battery Negative Terminal

Battery Negative Terminal
Battery was iffy. Yes it was old but was OK. Noticed that the starting was getting slow.
Well found out the the NEG battery terminal is cracked. What is the best way to get this repaired?
For now I cut the old terminal and and replaced with a store bought clamp, which I have found to be a PIA to do.
Otherwise all I see is to get the whole cable (OEM) and replace the whole thing that means a tear down.
What have you done to replace this NEG terminal?

Nobody's had this cracked NEG terminal issue? I must assume that this happens to mopst older Max's. I am planning on re-working what I did. I have some concepts in my mind. Should work. Will post pics.

My negative cable is fine, the Positive is getting a little crummy though. Either way, take pics before and after and let us know what you did to fix the issue. Good tutorials are invaluable.

mine cracked in half when my battery had a cell die. Also took out my starter. I had a shop install a new neg terminal as the crimping part is a PIA. now it looks 5 times better and i might have them do the positive terminal just so it looks all nice and neat.
