A/C fan will not turn off and blows warm air.

A/C fan will not turn off and blows warm air.
I have a 2001 Maxima SE, the A/C fan will not stop blowing and the air coming out of the vents is warm. I pulled the blower motor resistor and changed it to no avail, and I changed the compressor relay switch.
Has anyone run across this problem before?

Wait, which fan is blowing? The "A/C" fan, as in the radiator cooling fans? Or do you mean the fan inside the cabin? Your question is confusing. Please specify which fan and under which conditions it is blowing when you think it shouldn't be.

The way the fan works is that one side is connected to 12 volts when the ignition switch is on and the blower motor switch connects the other side to ground. Exactly how it gets connected to ground is different for auto climate control and manual controls.
When you say blower motor resistor, that part is used on a manual control system. In the manual control system, the switch in the dash can short internally and the fan runs all the time.
If you want to do tests on the switch, follow the proceedure in section HA, pages 167 to 171 of the 2001 FSM.
IF you don't have a FSM, get one here:

Would that switch also cause it blow warm air or do you think I will need to charge the system?
