The thing is that aftermarket modifications usually can't carry much of a price increase. In fact, it can often give people an excuse to talk you down. You can probably up the blue book a bit with the stereo system, but I wouldn't expect the other modifications to do a thing to the price.

I would say you are much better off taking off all the mods and selling stock somewhere in between KBB wholesale and retail.
You could probably sell the Mods for about 60-70% of retail, and overall you will be much better off.

Yeah, i think your right. The nav alone was 2 grand. I could just take it out and put it in the new car. I have most of the stock stuff except for the rims. I could turn it back to stock and nobody would really know. Thanks for the advice guys.

yup...i just went through the same thing...had to change my entire car back to stock to sell it and sell the parts seperately...it was a pain but i tried selling it w/ everything first and there is basically no market for a modded 2k max

Just curious...But why did you sell your Maxima and go with an RSX-S?

you're kidding, right?
$31k??? Mods are going against you, not for you, unless you find that special someone...
I was quoted $30,750 for a loaded 02 (no Nav). Realistically, here is NO WAY anyone in his/her right mind would pay over $23k.

my max was squeaking non-stop, it was an auto and i hate automatics, it was too big of a car for me, i go to college in ohio so in order for me to take the car there, it would have to be 100% stock or else it becomes a target (i go to town in a small hic town in ohio), and the final reason that i can think of right now is that the resale on maximas has been going way way way way down and if i kept it until the summer which is when i was planning on selling it (it would have about 10k more miles on it from driving to ohio and back etc. and driving a lot in ohio) i wouldn't have been able to afford any new car...i looked at a bunch of cars in the 23k price range and this was by far the nicest and best value for that money in my opinion
