235/35/ZR18, Anything wrong?

So coming home from work today, I get outside to find that my car, along with 4 others around me have had our tires slashed, OH JOY!. 3 out of 4 of the month and a half old tires wrecked. F***. Anyways, I'm going to get Continental Extreme Contact DW's, and I'm trying to decide between 235/40/18 and 235/35/18. The only reason i don't go with the 40's, is that i found a great deal on the 35's. Am i risking anything by going that low profile? Other than my speedometer being off by 5.34%? Also, do i need to take it to a dealer to have the speedo re calibrated?

I dont think there's anything wrong going on a profile that low except that you wont have enough meat compared to like a 50 profile tire. So be careful of potholes.

Definetly true. I was hoping for a 40, but when deals pop up like that... no choice LOL

I would if been way more pissed, except for the rims they were on i had got, and the tires came free. Still, they were only a few months old.

Tire rack's being a ***** and not letting me ship to Canadian address because they're on clearance, 4 tires shipped to a po box? hell yes.

As long as you know the speedo will be off, and don't care, you'll be fine for the time being.

Visually they will look weird in the wheel well.

But TireRack? No. Discounttire.com

Amazing service to Canada, super fast shipping, and the price they post is what you pay, not a penny more.

Back to the problem that they simply don't sell Conti DW in 235/40/18, only 35 or 45

I ended up just calling discount tire, they said they're going to have to order them. I think i'll tell them to, 235/40/18 on an 18x8 rim.

Actually dude 235/45/18 would be perfect.

It will look better in the wheel well also.

I'd be so angry if it were me. Any ideas on the culprit or motives?

I'd guess it was a bunch of kids who thought they were "cool" by damaging property.

1st. There's more than one 7th gen wheel

2nd. Coilovers are adjustable, hence the name. Asking if something will fit under something that can be adjusted is a little silly

Yes they will fit fine with the proper tire size.

Do you know what size would fit best and not throw my speedometer off. Has anyone ran these style wheels before? I haven't seen any 5.5gens on here with them.

Type in your stock size and then find the size that fits the 19" rim and keeps sizes proper.

I'd guess somewhere around 255/40/19 but complete guess. Put in work.
