Max's with aftermarket radios check in please

So im in the market to replace my radio. The CD player no lomger works and id like to have USB/iPod/mp3 player capabilities. My biggest thing is that I like the look of the factory radio and I don't want an aftermarket radio to seem "out of place" per se. So thats why I am here, I'd like to pictures of 5th Gens with aftermarket radios installed, to give me an idea of what I like or don't like.

If you're concerned with the look of the radio, then get the GXE kit.

This is the GXE dash kit. It is an OEM part that came with 00-01 GXE Maximas. The part is a bit difficult to come by, and is over $100 new, but is undoubtedly the best dash kit for the 5th gen. As you can see, the trim and vents are one single piece.

Your alternative is the Scosche double din kit which looks like this:

And this is the GXE kit with a single din unit and a storage compartment with flip up door from a 4th Gen.

Whwere did u get your Scosche kit? I've been looking for 3 months and cannot find it in that color! only see the black and dark grey. My dash trim is the light grey so the other 2 look outta place. Any info is appreciated.

Color is a crapshoot with these kits. Especially the Scosche double din, it's impossible to match well unless you paint it. Personally, I'd ignore the color if you can deal with it, or go GXE.

the scosche kit is horrible, don't waste your time with it. I ended up keeping the metra kit. color is real good considering the car is over 10 years old. from what I remember the gxe kit leaves a gap around the radio..
