reusing strut mounts and bellows

I need to change my front struts and cant decide if I should go with the kyb or the monroe oem replacement. I dont want any lowering. Do I have to change the mounts and the bellows or can the oem nissans be reused? I plan on reusing my springs. They seem fine. Also after reading a number of posts there seems to e a disagreement how to seat the mount properly. So any extra tips would be appreciated.

I would discard the strut mounts if they're OEM with over 50K, but if the bellow/bumpstops are in good condition I would reuse the bellows.....if they're dry in any kind of way I would replace....I prefer the Oem style bumpstops not that foam crap! If you purchase strut mounts I think Moog are the better brand when compared to Monroe or KYB!

I replaced my struts a few months ago. I bought KYBs from someone on this site, he had the best price I could find. Here's a link:

I would replace the bellows. Mine looked fine until I started handling them. Also I would go ahead and replace the strut bearings. There not very expensive. I purchased OEM bellows and strut mounts. For the front there are 2 different styles of bellows used depending on the type of car you have. Make sure you get the correct ones.

KYB struts, not Monroes. Replace mounts with Moog. Replace boots with OEM and nothing else. There is only one right way to install the mount.

I cannot emphasize this enough: you MUST use the OEM boot/bumpstop onepiece combo. Lots of places will tell you KYB and other crap boots will fit. They will not. And I've never seen a boot/bumpstop that didn't need to be replaced along with a strut.
