That's more than enough time for them to heat up. With the car off, pop it in reverse and see for yourself.

In case you're scratching your melon on how to get that pesky lens out:

Remove Socket/bulb
attatch shop vac attatchment that is round and small
seal around housing half-way decent
turn on shop vac.
