2002 Maxima SE Existing Speaker Wiring

Hi All
Just had a new head unit istalled in my car as well as new door speakers. I like the sound but it needs some extra base punch. I have an amp and sub which I can install. The sub would go in trunk.
Its a passive sub so it will run off speasker wires from the amp. My question is if there is any existing speaker wiring running to trunk from the front and where I may find it. Also... Where is the best place to install this small amp?
Thanks
Steve

Do you have Bose or non-Bose?
You mention that you have a sub and amp, but you want to run the sub passively? This makes no sense. Please clarify so we can help.

It's a non Bose sys. My sub has no built in amp but I do have an amp for it. Just wondering how much if any existing wiring can be used to install this sub in trunk and..where would be best location for amp.

How can a sub and amp run on the speaker wires in your car? Are they strong enough? Why not wire the system off the battery?

Do it right.

Run a proper RCA and remote turn on lead from your aftermarket head unit to your aftermarket amp. Run a proper (and adequately large enough) fused power wire from your battery to your aftermarket amp.

You can locate the amp wherever you want - under a seat, mounted to the back of your rear seats, trunk floor, trunk ceiling. etc.
