SAFII and Maf Issues
O.k so me and a fellow max owner decided to finally hook up my SAFC and did so using VQpower.com and Essentials VAFC write up on his VAFC, now everything is connected and maf wire cut and the correct ins and outs are connected, reset the SAFCII to default settings and adjusted everything according to how its listed on VQpower.com but the MAF doesnt seem to be getting a signal, disconnected the maf wires and connected em back up together just to make sure i didnt blow the MAF and the car worked fine but no matter WTF i do everytime i connect the MAF wire it acts up.... is ther any major difference in the way the SAFCII is wired up in the DEK or vs a VAFC (obviously other than the V-tec part).. anybody else ever ran into this issue annd before you guys say go look at JIME/DANDY/VQpower/ any write up on how to hook up the VAFC ive already done that, the issue isnt ECU pinout

the safc has maf scaling right? is that set properly for a stock maf? just guessin here. also is it oem maf? my ebay was ok, but then it interacted with my vafc2 and it would only work meh at wide open throttle

Do you have a spare wire harness? If you didn't already solder everything, swap that out and try another one, sometimes they are bad. I went through two VAFC-II units, both tested on OTHER cars as fine, but neither worked on my car.
If your throttle reading is whack, check the TPS connection. Are you using the TPS pin or the APPS (accelerator pedal position sensor) pin?

Well i did it based on essential1's pinout thread also as he seem to have been the only DEK that has any info on the wiring... also the wires are not soldered in they are only soldered to make an extended harness which worked in a 4th gen previously i do not have an extra harness either...
