Oh yeah I checked the temperature when I drove it and it's normal, now I'm thinking it's the oil burning issue, btw it's been a little over 3k since last oil changed and changed from dealer oil (she used do oil changes there) to mobil 1 full synthetic at home.
It is common for VQ35DE's to burn more oil with synthetic, especially after switching from conventional (for sure if it was dealer oil changes) to synthetic.

If you do another change. Try some 5W-30 Castrol GTX. VQ35DE's love that stuff.

Yeah just try to stay on it. I don't think its a huge problem so as long as you top it off everytime it goes low, and change it ever 3k you should be good unless its burning way too much oil. Tell her to keep it under 2K RPM's she's having a little too much fun with the 3.5
