oh joy, hit a deer last weekend. are ebay OEM style HID headlights ok?

So seems like this car has been a magnet for things since I got it 2 years ago. Twas mint when I bought it, had a van rear end me last year, a lady pulling into gas station hit the rear bumper in a gas station last Sept and now hit a deer on the highway last weekend. I had pocketed the previous $ for the rear bumper damage, but now I want to get everything done. Looks like I need a hood, pass. side headlight, probably a bumper and some things need to be realigned. It doesn't look THAT bad from the outside, but you can see a lot of lines or off and out of alignment. I know insurance won't pay for a driver's side headlight since it's not damaged, but they are both cloudy (from the inside), and don't want new on the left and old on the right. Do these seem like a decent replacement or are they garbage?

I just got a quote from a local collision center at a dealership who quoted me $5,400 for the damage, OMG!!!!! The insurance company said less than $3k they won't come out to look at it but obviously this is way over. I'd like to get a high quote and then try to get if fixed cheaper or get the parts myself and bring it somewhere, but I dunno. Here's a few pics of the damage too.

Those headlights look to be OEM replacements, so they're probably good to go, but you should be able to do a lot better from a price standpoint, cause ~$550 is a little steep. I think there's someone selling a set in the classifieds here on the Org. Sucks about the damage though, I'd hound the insurance company constantly until they pony up some extra cash to fix it though, especially if you got a quote that high from a repair shop.

that does not look bad at all. I'd say, search the classifieds and pick up used parts. Even if you pay top dollar for a hood same color, say $350, and buy a good used headlight, say $250. swap it out yourself and you're good to go.

That is very little damage considering you hit a deer.

There might be some hidden damage to the radiator support and bumper brackets that we cant' tell by the pics.

GL.

Yes, the radiator support/bumper brackets etc. are all tweaked/twisted a bit. BTW, just noticed my beagle about to take a dump in the background of pic #2 lol

That $541 price is too steep.

I bought eBay OEM replacements for my '02 SE and they were around $280 shipped to my door. They work just fine and I have not had any issues with them for over 2 years now. Perfect fitment and look identical to stock...

...not too mention, you'll be able to see at night again (based on the shape your current ones are). ;-)
