engine mounts

I read alot of the threads on the topic but could not get a clear answer.
My mechanic said that my engine mount bolts are very rusty and i should change the mounts.
Can I just change the bolts?
How do I know which mounts have a solenoid and which dont and what does it do is it needed?
Should I attempt myself? I have done brakes, hp power steering hose, coils, and plugs.

I have a 2001 max 20th AE SE Thanks
Also I could not find in the led thread but is there anyway to make the clock readable in daylight?

just buy a set of all 4 new mounts off ebay for like $100. get the mounts for manual transmission and get rid of those sensors before they cause problems. if you did the power steering hose, you can do the mounts

engine mounts

I read through alot of the threads but still unclear.
I am getting the clunk noise which many attribute to a bad passenger motor mount. Also my mechanic said the engine mount bolts are very rusty and are in danger of cracking. Should I just change the whole mount/s?
What does the solenoid do and how do I know if I have the electronic ones?
Can I use non electronic ones and what is the downside?
Should I buy cheap ones on amazon or ebay and what would you recommend?
I have done brakes , coils, sparks, and power steering hose. Should I attempt this myself?

Just a note, you will not be able to buy all 4 mounts for the manual tranny. You can get the two engine mounts and the passenger torque mount. They do sell just those three in a set on eBay. You will need to buy the transmission mount (if you're looking to replace all four) with the one specifically for the auto tranny. The mounts for the transmission are not interchangeable. The other three are.
