Engine/Valve Cover from a 2K1 AE on a 2K+???
Just wondering if anyone has tried to find a way to get this cover on our standard engines. I sort of hate the look of the standard engine since it has been played out for a couple of years even going back into the 4th gen.
I had no clue the AE's came with that PHAT cover, so I wanted to know if anyone knew if it was possible or is it gonna require too much work?
It does look nice.................

Since the underlying engine is identical, I don't see why not, I will look tonight though.

Sure you can, just get the cover with factory bracket so the cover attaches below the intake manifold. I took mine off the week I had the car. I bought a plastic spark plug cover(t-shape) for $30 and had my valve cover machine polished. The cover hides alot of the motor that I like to see. If I wanted plastic covers on the engine I would have bought German.
The cover is off my car curently. I try something different so I painted it black but left the Nissan symbol alone. I can send you a picture of you want. The cover is for sale...$40 with mountng bracket. The cover attached in 4 places, two is just under the manifold when you install the added bracket. The other 2 are on the valve cover, the two tall casted points on each end of the valve cover(toward the top. They are threaded in side because Infinity uses the same valve cover for the I30. This cover is a Infinity standard so that's why it bolts on easily to all '00 plus Maximas.

If you still want to sell it ... I'll buy it. I have been looking for one for awhile, but my dealer told me he couldn't get me one!
Let me know I will send the payment right away!
Thanks, and it is the AE cover correct?

I asked about it a while back. I couldn't find it back in the search for ya. But here are things to note, Dave can get it for you for about 160. It will fit the 2k. It is made of plastic (this fact changed my mind). It definitely looks nice though.
