FOB key for a 5th gen???

I'm fan of flip FOB keys and figured I had to have one for my Max. I ordered one on eBay for $17.95 with free shipping. It doesn't look cheap at all looks real genuine like an OEM. But all I had to do was just transfer my original remote, buttons, battery, and transponder chip in to the FOB key and voilą. I just took it to a local locksmith and had the key cut for $4. All in all I think it's MUCH appealing than the standard key and remote. Just something you don't see everyday...

Literally took me less than 5 minutes. Do you have both the stock key with the transponder chip (blue thing at the bottom of key) & the oem 4 button remote?

Just get an alarm and remote start with smart start so you can use your iphone to start and monitor your car from anywhere

Do the 5904 with iDataLink bypass and the 556t window module and smartstart.the 5904 has a better external shock sensor and the idatalink bypass works better then the directed xk05 and you dont need a extra key for either

To be SAFE I'd go to the dealer to have them confirm there's a transponder chip in the key or the remote. If you don't have one you should get the 1st one I listed since images on you buttons have worn off. Then when you get the FOB key unscrew it apart and take the blank key to a locksmith and have them cut it for you and then you can reassemble everything (putting your remote parts into the FOB key)
