Vibration under acceleration only

having this problem, wondering what could be. I have replaced all front end and looking to see whats going on. The car has new tires, balanced and aligned. Engine mounts are brand new, but "ONLY" when I accelerate the car the vibration is there. I havent replaced the Tranny mount and I think is broken. Could that be?

thanks

Could be. Are you talking about the rubber mounts attached to corssmember or which tranny mount?

Nice to see you;'re still around!

Are you lowered and if so, how low are you? It could be axles.

Maxspeed springs from his cardomain. My car has been lowered on a combination of both Tien S and Progress for the lat 80k, and my axles are fine.

The only time I ever saw shaking under acceleration was when my tires were shot to poop.

I'd say inspect mounts and do the ten and two and six and twelve.

Also, what brand axles do you have? I have the GSP axles and they are known to have vibration only under acceleration. It is because they don't have that rubber counterbalance rubber dampener bushing on the middle of the passenger side shaft.

the axels were replaced 3 weeks ago before I relocated to PA. Before that the vibration was there still. I wonder what could be then. The tranny has a rubber mount to hold it right? I know there is one....lol, or I could be losing my head.....

I still have my money on the axles even if they were replaced....aftermarket axles are known to produce vibration with maximas for some reason, my friend went through several with the same results until he finally had his OEM one remanufactured. I finally found a "good" aftermarket one with no vibration but it turns out the boot clamp fell off, leaked all the grease and now, 3 months after replacing it it's back to vibrating when applying throttle....it has to be some flaw in the suspension design, because this shouldn't be that difficult.

If you're getting a loss of HP, too, it's a Multi-Cylinder Misfire from bad Coil Packs.

No los on HP the engine is working fine. I can say that when I put in R the car makes a noise and when I put in D it makles a louder noise. Like a "crak" noise, I did apply the brakes and accelrate the car with the brakes applied and I heard a "crack" noise like something broke in the engine.... but cant tell what it was.

Does anyone knows a good mechanic in Philadelphia, someone that wont rip me off?

I know of an awesome alignment shop in Delco (Broomall) that can probably help.

Mickey's Alignment in Lawrence Park Industrial Center.

I was born and raised in philly for 41 years. I only moved to NYC last year.

Mickeys Suburban Alignment
950 Sussex Blvd
Broomall, PA 19008

It's in Delaware County. It's about 5-10 minutes off the Blue Route exits (I-476).

I was there a few months ago getting an alignment and wheels balanced. I prefer to go there instead of shops in NYC. They seem to treat me better and their equipment and techs are top notch.

I found out about the place when my old mechanic told me that's where the local garages take customers cars. I was originally going to recommend my old mechanic, but think that his quality of work is slipping.

Thank you for your response and help. I will see how far that location is from me. I just found a place that fixes car alarms (they just fixed my Viper 791v) and they have another place for light mechanic so Ill how it goes with them, if I dont like how they treat me $$$$$ Ill find another one.

Shot in the dark here, torque converter? Maybe its shaking around at certain RPM's . Can you pinpoint the cracking noise? Maybe get someone to engage gears while you listen.

OK, Roxborough. You're about 25 minutes from the place if you plan on going. I-76 west > I-476 south to exit nine and it's about 5 minutes off the exit.

I just bought and installed the MasterPro Select halfshaft from O'Reilly on my Maxima and am having the same vibration under acceleration.

I did notice that the new one doesn't have the same counterbalance that the OEM one had. I almost looked into trying to figure out how to take it off and put it on the new one, but decided against it (didn't know it was a counterbalance since it just looked like some rubber piece). Now I'm wishing I did.

Any guesstimates on how long this will last before destroying the brand new hub and wheel bearing I also just put in?
