Ebay Catback Review
Ebay Catback Review
So I bought an fleebay Greddy Evo2 knockoff exhaust about a month ago. I got my old exhaust off by cutting it because the flange wouldnt make it over the axle, then i just dropped the B pipe off the cat and THOUGHT I was ready to install the new one. Then I bolted the B pipe to the cat and pushed it up and 5" TOO LONG. It wasnt even close to clearing the turn infront of the gas tank. I then emailed the company I bought it from, who conviently denied sending me the wrong pipe, and told me since it was "test fitted" it no longer was eligable for return.
So I filed a claim with Paypal, who made them agree to let me return it BUT I had to pay return shipping. $50. 1/3 the price of the whole damn thing. So I said screw it im just going to cut it and clamp it. And 7.5 hours later I have a catback successfully installed. Long story short, do NOT cheap out and buy an eBay catback and think you can put it on yourself easily. Its a nightmare. On to the review.
PROS: Nice quality, Mendral bent, computer welded, stainless steel, quality bolts/flanges/gaskets.
CONS: Installation blows. Difficult to get the flanges to line up perfectly, although with some work it gets pretty snug. You will need longer rubber hangers because the muffler touches the exhaust cutout on the bumper.
Sound: Nice, deep growl, idles hardly louder than stock, doesnt drone bad at all and I have an autotragic. No rasp period!
*Link to youtube video of revving/flyby will be up shortly*
PS: I paid $118 total for it.
