disconnect electric motor mounts?

OK new to maximas and bought one that has the infamous po505 code so replaced IAC valve and ecu on its way to get repaired but the 3rd step everybody else mentions is disconnect the electric motor mounts due to that is one of the reasons for shorting out the ecu. My question is which of the four are connected to the ecu because I looked and I guess I'm blind I couldn't see anything dealing with wires or sensors directly connected to a motor mount just line/wires mounted on brackets. Anybody have instructions or pics/diagrams. I guess I'm not smart enough to see what everyone is talking about disconnecting because nobody mentions instructions and locations just keep asking is it good or bad to disconnect and other say you need to disconnect before you plug in the new ecu.

Please help

Its actually really easy to unplug it. Its a little brown connector just behind the radiator above your front torque mount. If you're facing your engine bay its the motor mount right in front of you just to the right of your exhaust manifold.

EDIT: you're a manual so you really shouldnt have any electronic mounts. just rubber lolzz

Will unplugging this on my 02 auto throw a code? And will I see increased engine movement with it unplugged?

The car vibrates a lot during idle.

Also my glove box vibrates too which is a bit annoying

You get used to it though

If you are going to disconnect, just replace the front and rear with ES bushings + manual motor mount

Unplugging them alone wont cause that much vibration, it's the PUR inserts that are the real cause.

Resurrecting this old post....

This instruction takes care of the front motor mount disconnect, but isn't the back mount active also?

If anyone has pictures of what to pull to disconnect both, that would be mucho helpful.

Similarly, if anyone has pictures of how to pull the ECM, that would also be great.

2002-2003 Maxima have only front electronic engine mount. While 2000-2001 have both front and rear electronic engine mount. The electronic mount is soft when the engine is in idle, harden during acceleration. If disconnected the car will have a noticeable vibration. To disconnect let someone to press the gas to raise rpm above 3000 then disconnect the connector of the mount , so it will stay hard.

3000 RPM?.... I thought it was only 1000 RPM.

FWIW, I disconnected my rear motor mount about (10 years / 200K miles ago) on my 2K1 and have NEVER experienced any sort of vibration or adverse handling.

Based on the info in this thread, I'm trying to unplug my electric motor mounts. I found the front plug conector but it's not coming out easily, what do I do exactly. I don't want to break it. There must be a release trick I'm not figureing out.

Thanks

Grip the connector firmly and then push the "slider" (the little thingy in the middle) until the connector pops or snaps apart. You may have to push reasonably hard.
