clutch issue??

I had a question... if I drop my clutch my tires spin. then I shift to second and it revs but the car still moves but not like the clutch is fully engaged. I could do this for multiple gears too. anyone know what that is about?? is my clutch going or is this something else??

I'm inclined to say your clutch is on it's way out...it's called 'slipping'.
You can make do for now if you aren't hard on it.

I just replaced mine last week.

it drives fine on normal use. it has 170,000 mi but I bough it used with a supposed new stage 1 or 2 clutch at some point. only when I drop it in first and go to second and on when I'm beating on it does it do it.

Yeah. It'll get worse. Just be easy on it for now if you can't afford a replacement clutch + install cost
