Hey Gang!
I just finished watching Motorweek and they showed the new '02 Ford Ranger with a white colored sport package called Thunderbolt. This thunderbolt upgrade features a V6 which pumps 222Hp and 238 ft/lbs for torque(sounds fimiliar ).
The acceleration test (if it was accurate) showed the truck (automatic trans.) running from 0 to 60 in 6.5 sec. and the 1/4 mile in 14.9.
Pretty decent upgrade + it comes with titanium guages, air scoop on hood, front spoiler, side skirts, body cover with tail spoiler and tighter suspension.
Not sure what the cost is for the option but looks like a pretty good Red light to Red light competitor for the maxes!!
Anyone seen one on the highways yet??

 

The last thing im going to belive is that a nasty heavy ford ranger, with only 230 some odd hp can push its brick in the wind body style throught the quarter faster than my 5'th gen max (when it was stock). Props to ford if it does, but then they have to be doing some lying about the hp ratings. Probably more like 280.
