Is my waterpump about to go?

So I was getting my timing chain replaced, tensioners, secondary chains, ect and I noticed it appears that my water pump has unusual wear on it. It also looks like it is not on the sprocket right? It is probably normal but I would like some opinions. The wear on the pump kinda worries me..

heres the pic:

no it is not, but i figure the wear is due to it being close to needing replacement..so i suggested you replace it...Is that a good enough answer for you..? or do you need more hand holding..?

Well anyhow, i see where this going so i'll go ahead and tell you the problem...which should have been obvious to you since you are replacing worn tensioners and crap...you are obviously replacing the stuff because it's worn out right..? ok...since this stuff is worn out, that means the chain/s have SLACK in them, right..?...this should lead you to the obvious conclusion since the damn chains run the water pump, that the slack in the chains is causing the abnormal wear on the pump gears...

Replace the pump while you are in there, and good luck...
