I just looked up the specs for a stock RX7 Turbo.

Horsepower: 255 hp @ 6500 rpm
Torque: 217 ft-lbs. @ 5000 rpm

Bran new from the factory back in 95' they ran 14.0 at 99 mph for there best.

Now RX7s are known for problems. This one did not show any problems, body was in mint condition and no smoke. The fact is he lost to me, and the camaro. If he had a leaky turbo, and a extra passenger like he did, that would make it possible for me to beat him which I did 4 times!

b) Russ realized the story he made up was a bit too far fetched and has decided to re-vamp the story and add a couple twists to it..

I wouldn't exactly say better... you sure seemed nervous that one night I ran you when I kept pulling on you all though my midrange. I loved being a car ahead of a 5th Gen at around 115 or 120.

I got walked one time, big deal, found out the 5th gen needs at least a half a tank to run great, so it has more fuel pressure. Obviously filling up fixed that.

Found this out from several other owners of 5th gens.

 

Heheh, Russ, if I remember and I'm sure you remember, we ran 3 or 4 times that night, after the gas station, I stopped racing because we were approaching a hill. Each time I pulled you. Too bad there are no videos, that would have owned. You 5th Gens do have 30 more horses than us 4th gens, so go suck your thumb. Besides if this Variable Intake turns out to work, you're going to be having one hell of a time with us.

 

oh , ok so now it's a mod thing I see. When you race , do you find yourself saying, if I spent $$$ on mods my car would be faster?

do you want v-8's to take off 2 spark plug wires so you can feel even?

When you race , do you decline because someone has more mods than you?

2000 maxima has 30 more hp than I do.. so what... I still race them. they can do to thier car the same I can.
So when you CHOOSE to race your saying Here is my car beat it if you can.

I read the original post, and I don't understand why this isn't believable? If Russ said he smoked a Viper or something, that would be hard to believe.
