Not sure if I like it yet. I have a feeling that a full Stillen kit is in my near future.

New, yes. I'll wait around for a used kit to show up on here already sprayed in KT3.

It doesn't look that bad. I think it would be better on other colored cars(black, white, gray, merlot, silver).

This is the rolled stuff from ebay correct?

Yup. It was an 8ft. roll with self-tappers and 3M tape. It is what it is. Was going to do a Home Depot/garage door lip, but this stuff was at a 90* angle and has a 4cm width in contrast.

I agree it would look better with a darker color, maybe that's why I'm not digging it.

Looks like it fits well, but personally I'd rather hold out or save up for a Stillen lip, it's worth the wait if that's the look you want.

just a random thought how about this additionally on a stillen lip? might be horrible considering the stillen lip curves way back at the bottom, these hd lips only work well adding onto flat and squarish ends.

Looks good. I did a similar lip a few years ago and its still holding up well. Adds a nice bit of detail to the bottom of the stock bumper plus I don't have to worry about a $tillen being ripped off if someone else in the family is driving and gets cozy with a curb. Not bad at all for $20.

I've seen that lip on ebay. The more I look at it the better it sits with me.

Simple yet stands out.

At first I thought it was a Mustang Mach 1 lip which i've seen here before.

That's another story lol but looks good. What do u guys think about color matching it?

Did a good install job, very clean. Personally, I don't like it. I cant say it looks bad, but i also cant say it really does anything
For the car either. Maybe I'd like it more if it was body color.

Only problem is, it's rubber. I thought the same thing but I'm not sure it's worth the time, effort, and money for it to only chip and peel away. It will have to do (as it is) for now.

Like I always say, everyone has their own taste. At first I thought it was weather stripping that you put on there just by the looks of it. You did a great job on the install just not my taste personally, Im sure if it was a more matching color like the others have said it would be better, but just not feeling the vibe looks out of place to me. If you like it BAWL IT!!!

Guess it will just stay until I go the Stillen route. Definitely not wasting anymore time and money on it. I did hit it with some of my tire shine stuff when I washed it yesterday and it looked a little better glossy. I might waste some clear on it, but I'm in no rush.

I bought one to hold me over until i find a proper Stillen classic lip for a good price.

Doesn't look all that bad IMO; decent placeholder for cheap.

What exactly do I need to search. I'm saying that I thought it was a Mach 1 lip.

Not trying to start trouble, but the "Search" response was not needed.

It looks good on the charcoal color as well. The part where it flares out a bit goes well with the fog light area of the bumper.

so you can't afford the real thing and bought something at home depot. Don't be surprised with the reactions you get.

fwiw a full stealing stillen lip kit isn't that expensive for a maxima.

^ Finding a good classic lip is a time consuming chore. I've been searching over a year for the right one.

The full kit is near $700 + paint and installation cost; I'd estimate it all together at $900-$1k. Sadly I don't make it rain, don't pop bottles of Dom and can't throw down (an "in-expensive")$1k. I spent less than that on my suspension set up and my exhaust set up(with installs).

I am akin to the OP, it is a very inexpensive and temporary placeholder until a CLASSIC Stillen lip is found for the right price.

And for me personally, reactions are a joke. I've been on the forum for over 8 years and have seen and read it all.

Honestly dude I don't care that you can't afford a lip kit and you aren't in a financial state to modify your car. If you want to put on 'mods' from home depot go for it. I simply stated don't expect to not get backlash from the community when the real parts aren't expensive.

You can buy a brand new full painted kit for $400 in the classifieds. Painted sides and rear in another post for $300. Deals like that come up often. Spending 1k for a lip kit on a car worth 4k is foolish. Last month I was trading my full kit for $250 + your stock side skirts until I found someone who wanted the whole car as is.

My point is you can find the stuff cheap enough online that you shouldn't have to buy your mods at home depot.

Also there are more places to look than on this one website.

First off, you have Fast & the Furious referenced in your name...

Now Toretto, Can I call you Toretto?
I never said I wasn't in a financial state not to buy a kit, lip, hell even a turbo if I wanted. I said I didn't want to buy a kit for that price and I have been looking(and posting) for the right lip leisurely for over a year- probably before you even joined the org.

In regards to the "backlash" - silly kids talk ish all the time- a true trait of douchebaggery that is ever so present on any forum. Yes people have the right but that doesn't make it right. I think "stanced" is retarded but I don't make a point to go out of my way in their posts. Regardless, this "lip" is still temporary until a decent Stillen spoiler is found.

I also just learned that these aren't the only classifieds on the internet! Truly mind blowing! A friend showed me these things called Google, Craigslist and other forums- amazing stuff! I can't believe I never used them before. Thanks for the head's up Toretto...

Lastly, it was E bay- not home Depot.

PS- I'd easily get more than 4 or 5k for my Max.

I see you over value your car and I am sorry you, as you said, 'sadly don't make it rain' and cannot afford to 'throw down' or 'pop bottles of dom' as you put it. Thanks for keeping us up to date regarding your financial situation.
